#THISISHIPHOP: Your Old Droog’s New Video for “Bangladesh”

Your Old Droog
Bangladesh (ft Heems)

By John-Paul Shiver

Displaying the well-paired ying-yang punch of grimy flow versus nasal tone, the single Bangladesh by Your Old Droog and featuring Heems from Das Racist, is the “straight-talk no-filter” poster child for what genuine NYC hip-hop has been and remains.

Droog, the Ukrainian-born, and Brooklyn based MC, is a raspy-throated throwback to the times of direct flow, unassuming delivery and concise lyrics. Queens rapper Heems blesses the track with his high-pitched delivery and punch line driven bars.

Everything flowing over a flute-loop sample that never gets old. This is Hip-Hop.

PACKS, the full release by Your Old Droog, is now available at physical and digital outlets and features appearances from Danny Brown, Edan, Wiki, and Chris Crack, plus production from Alchemist, 88 Keys, and ID Labs.

Vinyl is now available from YOD’s official website
