As a public art effort to explore new and unique approaches to art making, and put “creativity at the heart of the gallery,” The Tate Collective Liverpool, along with Turner Prize winners, Assemble, have staged a creative take over of the Tate Liverpool gallery.
Modeled after a real gym, the interim art school replaces bench presses and treadmills with alternative life-drawing seminars and photography classes. Art Gym sections off focused art stations, giving visitors the opportunity to explore their creative potential. The gallery space includes a small cinema, lockers, a spa, and a boxing ring for free talks and drop in tutorials.
