One funny thing about today’s vinyl-only trend is that a lot of people don’t seem to want to talk about it. There are no ideas behind it that’s what makes it what it isn’t. I get it: As fetishized as vinyl can be these days, there’s also a stigma attached to the vinyl-only thing, and in large part it has far less to do with the labels and their intentions than it does the speculators who circle their output like vultures, snapping up new releases and reselling them at steep markups.
